Who we are
Founded in 1967, the Estate and Business Planning Council of Hartford was built on a simple idea: sound estate and business planning is a team effort. As tax laws grew more complex, a group of forward thinking attorneys, accountants, trust officers, and advisors saw that clients were served best when specialists worked side by side. More than fifty years later, we remain a carefully chosen community of qualified professionals, united by a commitment to serving clients well and learning from one another.
Our purpose
EBPC Hartford brings together the professionals who make thoughtful estate and business planning possible. Three objects have guided the Council since its founding:
- To provide a better understanding among the professions of the services our members render.
- To promote cooperation among these professions, and to foster a better understanding of the proper relationship each bears to the other, to their clients, and to the general public.
- To provide a medium for the discussion of topics of common interest.
When we meet
EBPC Hartford hosts four regular meetings during the Council year, which runs from June through May, usually held in September, December, March, and May. In addition, we host seminars: small lunch gatherings with a speaker, along with social events throughout the year.
